Going on to do Great Things

Voorhees Ballet Theatre is committed to preparing students for a serious career in dance. Our dancers have gone on to study at The Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, The Pittsburgh Ballet Graduate Program, American Ballet Theater, School of American Ballet, The Joffrey Ballet, Boston Ballet, Princeton Ballet, Kirov Academy, Miami City Ballet, The Harid Conservatory, First State Ballet, The Atlantic City Ballet Company, Nashville Ballet, and the Philadelphia Ballet.

Ashley Lewis

Ashley Lewis trained at Lowe Dance Studio in Voorhees, New Jersey spanning various genres until age fifteen when she joined the School of Philadelphia Ballet. She has attended summer intensives at the School of Philadelphia Ballet and at the Kirov Academy. In 2019, Ashley received the Ballet in the City African American Scholarship, and she had the opportunity to perform in the 2019 Ashley Boulder Project with Ballet in the City. Ashley joined Philadelphia Ballet II in 2021 and was promoted to an apprentice for 2022/2023 season. She has danced in repertoire such as Prima Materia by Andrew Winghart, George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, George Balanchine’s Symphony in C, George Balanchine’s Stars and Stripes, and Angel Corella’s Swan Lake. Gianna Ehrke-Conley

Gianna was born and raised a Jersey girl in Southern Jersey before moving down to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in her teens. She started dancing at age 3 at Lowe Dance Studio where she received her core ballet training. She also received additional training at Atlantic City Ballet Theatre, New Jersey Ballet Company, and Carolina Forest Performing Arts Academy. She landed her first professional dance contract straight out of high school at Celebrations Music Theatre in “Superstars Live!” in Surfside, SC. She has toured with Spirit Productions and performed at the Palace Theatre in numerous shows including “Le Grande Cirque”, “Rock Around the Clock”, “Christmas on Ice”, and “The Illusions of Magic.” She has also traveled around the world dancing for PGT Entertainment on Princess Cruise Lines giving the audiences 10 different production shows! She currently is performing yearly at The Alabama Theatre in Myrtle Beach, SC, featured in “The One Show” and “The Souths Grandest Christmas Show.” 


Caitlin McElroy

Caitlin McElroy received her fundamental training at Lowe Dance Studio where she trained in all styles of dance and participated in the Competition Team, Student Teacher Program, and was a member of the Danse Ensemble of the Voorhees Ballet Theatre. At age 16 she was accepted into the year round training program at The HARID Conservatory in Boca Raton, Florida. After graduating, Caitlin spent two years furthering her ballet education in the graduate program at Pittsburgh Ballet Theater School, where she performed in ballets such as The Nutcracker, The Great Gatsby, and Alice in Wonderland. In 2009 she joined the Atlantic City Ballet under the direction of Phyllis Papa and has enjoyed dancing in a wide variety of roles, her favorites being Arabian in The Nutcracker and one of Dracula’s Brides in Dracula. She has toured with the company all over New Jersey, New York, Georgia, Arizona and California.

Jordan Harris

After leaving the Voorhees Ballet Theatre Jordan moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for 2 years where he trained under Tokyo the Company. While in Louisiana he also traveled the country teaching and was able to start assisting some of the top choreographers in the commercial dance industry. Jordan now lives and dances professionally in Los Angeles, California where he is signed to Bloc Talent Agency. Since moving to LA, Jordan has danced for artists such as Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Camilla Cabello, and Kali Uchis to name a few. You can follow his journey via his Instagram @jordanharrisss.


Savannah Riggs

Savannah graduated Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Natick, Massachusetts, where she performed in The Nutcracker as Snow Corps, Chinese, and the Mouse King. She currently studies Psychology at Stockton University and teaches at Lowe Dance Studio.

Margaret Shue

Margaret received her BFA in Dance from Mason Gross School of Arts at Rutgers University. She has performed pieces by renowned choreographers such as Lar Lubovitch, Maxine Doyle of Punch Drunk and Sleep No More, LeeSaar the Company, and Brian Brooks. Margaret has traveled to Beijing, China and Bacolod, Philippines to perform in festivals, and worked with North West Dance Projects in Portland, OR.


Emily Sindoni

After leaving VBT, Emily attended Marymount Manhattan College in New York City. In 2018 she graduated with a BFA in Dance with a concentration in Ballet, and a minor in Arts Management. While attending, she performed works by notable choreographers Robert Battle, Gerald Arpino, Larry Keigwin, May O’Donnell, Pedro Ruiz, Michael Thomas, among others. Post college, Emily danced with the American Swiss Ballet Company and The Peggy Spina Tap Company. She danced in the grand opening ceremony of The Saks Fifth Avenue Holiday Lights 2019 with The Disney Company alongside Idina Menzel. Currently, Emily is Program + Training Director as well as a trainer at DanceBody, a dance-inspired fitness company based out of New York City.
